My Story

My Story

I was raised in a small town just outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania named Beaver Falls. After I graduated high school I attended Lenoir-Rhyne College in Hickory, North Carolina.

In 2001, I drove across the country to Southern California, my home now for over 16 years. The California coast has been life-changing for me and helped foster my passion of the aviation industry and shape who I am today.

My love affair with flying certainly came as a surprise and was definitely nota direction I’d ever thought to look in. I met my flight instructor on Facebook of all places, and I was hooked from the beginning. So join me on my journeys and together, let’s inspire others to get on their flight paths and take their dreams to new heights!

“Life is all about the journey, which helps us grow as individuals; there is so much to learn from the people within the world of aviation -the avenues are endless!”

Since that first flight, I have pushed myself to become a force in the industry. I knew that if I wanted to mentor, encourage and educate others within aviation, I had to do the work and work hard. Regardless of any adversity or obstacle that may have gotten in my way, I wasn’t going to let anything stop me. I always say, “If you’re not learning, you’re not growing.” Today, I fly numerous types of aircrafts, including single-engine, multi-engine piston aircrafts, various jets and helicopters. Currently, I hold a Commercial-Jet Type Rating with single pilot privileges. When living legend, Clay Lacy, heard that I earned 4 new ratings with-in a 7 month period, he said that was “quite the accomplishment and that I should be proud of myself.”

Through the years I have grown such a passion for aviation and a deep-rooted admiration for the people in this community, and I am proud to be a part of it.

“My goal is to inspire, mentor and teach women and children about the aviation industry.”

Life is all about the journey, which helps us grow as individuals; there is so much to learn from the people within the world of aviation’s what I hope to share with others.

My goal is to inspire, mentor and teach women and children about the aviation industry. I want others to be able to achieve their dreams of earning their wings just as i did!

“You are the captain of your own ship.”

As a female pilot, I know first hand how difficult it can be to excel in a primarily-male dominated profession. You have to set goals, keep your standards high, believe in yourself and most importantly never give up!

You are the captain of your own ship and YOU are the only one who can make your dreams a reality.

So it is through this outlet and others, that I intend to share with you all, my stories in aviation and hopefully, the stories of many of you, who also seek to chase after your dreams in aviation.

So join me on my journeys and together, let’s inspire others to get on their flight paths and take their dreams to new heights!
